Madi Personality

Madison loves to be swaddled really really tight. If she is fussy (which doesn't happen often) we can wrap her up super tight in a blanket with her arms forced to be by her sides and her legs curled up. Although, it is not unusual to find that she has wiggled her hands and her legs free.

When Madi is getting her diaper changed she straightens both her legs and flexes her feet. She does NOT like to have her diaper changed, and makes it as difficult for Mom and Dad as possible.

When nursing Madi loves to have her legs and feet tickled. If you start rubbing her leg she will slowly straighten it out so you can tickle her entire leg. It's so funny. Switch sides, and the other leg will straighten out.

Madison loves it when Mom gives her a bath. She loves the warm water and she especially loves the shampooing.

Madison is undecided when it comes to her pacifier. When you first put the Binki in her mouth she leaves her mouth wide open and will give you a distasteful look. But if you wiggle it around and encourage her to close her mouth, she will eventually get the hang of it. Although it is a hit or miss. Sometimes she will spit it out instantly, and other times she will suck on it as long as you let her.

Madison doesn't like "tummy time" where we lay her on her tummy to encourage her to strengthen her neck muscles, but she is very good at it. Her neck muscles are suprisingly strong for how little she is.

She loves it when we sing to her.

Madi would rather sleep in bed with Mom and Dad than in her bassinet. When we put her to sleep at night we have to make sure she is very asleep in order to put her in her bassinet, otherwise she whines and complains. Although she will instantly fall asleep if she is laying in our bed. We don't even have to be touching her, she just prefers king size.

  1. Oh my goodness! She has gotten so big since we last saw her! Such a beautiful little girl! We should all get together soon. Mckenzie is missing her Madi friend :)
